Our Sunday morning children's groups are called 'Shine'. Everyone is welcome.
Please see the details below for more information and please if you have any questions.
Here at the Good Shepherd, children and young people are welcome every Sunday. At All Age Services (usually on the first Sunday of the month and at special festivals such as Harvest, Mothering Sunday, Christmas and Easter) children are an intrinsic part of our service; they get involved and join in alongside the adult members of the congregation. Toys, books and colouring sheets are available for younger children if needed.
Our ‘Shine’ children’s groups meet alongside the Sunday morning service most weeks in term time, for children aged 3 to 15.
Toddlers are welcome to share in Stars, but must be accompanied by a responsible adult until they are school age. Younger siblings are also, of course, welcome to come to Shine.
This term we are continuing to look at the Old Testament - 'The coming of the kings'.
We will be holding Shine sessions on
September 14th, September 28th, October 12th, October 19th and October 26th.
We sometimes use tablets in our Sunday morning activities to enable the children to access information on the internet. We have an Online Safety Policy Statement. All children using the tablets (and one of their parents) will be asked to read and sign our Online Safety Agreement.
Stars is our Sunday morning group for children of pre-school age, in Reception and Key Stage 1. Younger children, including babies, are also very welcome to join in!
All children should be accompanied by an adult until they are of school age.
Rockets is our Sunday morning group for children in school years 3, 4 & 5.
Beacons is our group for children and young people in year 6 and above.
